MONTREAL (Thursday, January 14, 2016) – Buick today revealed for the first time in Canada the award-winning Avenir concept car and the all-new 2016 Envision luxury crossover at the Montreal International Auto Show.
“The Avenir concept embodies the dynamic soul of Buick offering auto show visitors a glimpse at this modern expression of the brands heritage of sophisticated performance communicated through elegant design,” said Vincent Boillot, Buick Canada. “For 2016, Buick adds the Envision luxury crossover to an already outstanding collection of premium cars and crossovers that offer a progressive kind of luxury with unprecedented value and an overall ownership experience that’s hard to beat.”
Buick Avenir Concept
The Avenir concept is a flagship sedan exploring progressive design with new levels of passenger well-being and technology integration. The Avenir – French for future – is distinguished by its premium sports proportions and all-new interpretations of traditional Buick cues. It is the creation of a global team of Buick designers and sculptors who were inspired by historic Buick concepts, which pushed traditional boundaries, shaped future Buick models and influenced the entire auto industry.
The Avenir’s sculptural surfacing, expressive proportion and Buick’s signature sweep-spear bodyside visually cue an exceptional driving experience that awaits inside.
The 2016 Envision is an all-new luxury compact crossover with segment-challenging driving dynamics, advanced technology, connectivity and Buick’s trademark interior acoustics. It is a global vehicle, designed from the ground up as a Buick luxury compact crossover. It goes on sale in North America in the second quarter of 2016.
