DETROIT – GMC retail sales were up 8 percent year over year in April, closing with the highest sales volume since 2007. Year-to-date retail sales and April total sales – up 7 percent – were both also the best in six years. GMC’s core products – Sierra, Acadia and Terrain – all posted April sales gains.

DETROIT – GMC’s March total sales were up 12 percent and retail sales were up 4 percent, the best March since 2008 and continued momentum that led to GMC’s best first quarter sales in six years. Year-to-date, GMC sales are up 15 percent retail and 14 percent total over 2012.

DETROIT – The 2013 GMC Acadia three-row crossover SUV launches this fall with a suggested retail price of $34,875, including a destination charge of $825. The upscale Denali trim – originally added to Acadia for the 2011 model year – will return with a long list of standard equipment for $46,770, including destination.

DETROIT – GMC Terrain, the compact SUV that delivers a segment-leading 32 mpg, capped its first full calendar year in December with its best sales month since its introduction in September 2009. Terrain’s year-over-year retail sales grew 73 percent in 2010 and total sales grew 68 percent during the same period. Terrain is averaging just 19 days on dealer lots compared with a 32-day average among competitor models.
